gente tenho andado com pouco tempo livre por causa da faculdade... tendo em conta toda a informação que tenho absorvido escrevi um pequeno post no forum deles que posso meter aqui, infelizmente não tenho tenho agora para o escrever em português, mas acho que não está muito difícil de perceber caso haja a vontade

Hi every one, I'm sorry i haven't been much active lately but I've been having some issues in my college... as soon as i rap things up with them I'll have more time to dedicate to this topic...

In the mean time i have been asking around, and from what i have found out the Dark Age comes when something new happens to us that for some reason we give more priority to... mostly new responsibilities such as girlfriends, marriage, children, new educational challenges, such as passing to high school, college, etc... sometimes also a new hobbie. Something that doesn't help is the world wide thought that Lego is a toy for kids so there comes a time when our peers, parents, etc just start to say: "thats not for a young man/woman your age" and stuff like it...

To my thought there isn't much the Lego company can do to avoid the so called Dark Age, since i would say everyone will have one its just a matter of timing on a couple of variables. What the Lego company should be doing is trying to call back teens and adults alike that have been already through the Dark Age to come back again to the wonderful world of Lego...

A couple of things that Lego could and should do to start the "come back to Lego" movement would probably involve:

A few sets/categories more directed at adults and older teens... which in particular its hard but as technic is the category that has the higher age limit (though i think this might be good to help people pick presents it inst helpful to captivate people again... as the sense that a lot of toys only have a lower limit like only suitable for children over 10 months/years)

Also help the AFOL community in a sense that they could help us tell the world we are here... (a little more advertising couldn't hurt ether... i don't remember the last time i saw a TV commercial for a Lego set in fact the only ad i remember a little was the ad for the good old 8880 lol)
Its like imagine someone shopping and sees a Lego set box and thinks "ahhh good old days"... and he still likes the idea of Lego and still remembers them from his childhood, though again the idea that Lego is a toy for young children mandates that he puts the box back on the shelf... If he had knowledge that there are still adults like him that have Lego as a hobbie and spend a great amount of time/attention/money maybe he could go back to how it was, but even better since he could now buy his own Lego sets and he wouldn't need to wait for Christmas or his birthday. lol

i hope everyone understood what i'm trying to say since it might be a while to when i can post again

Penso que com o passar tudo anos tudo isto vai mudar também.
Isto porquê?... qd eu era miúdo não havia AFOLs, internet, etc... e não tinha acesso a este mundo.
Os miúdos de hoje têem e mesmo que entrem numa Dark Age, mais tarde vão se recordar dos AFOLs, das LUGs, etc... e fácilmente se poderão sentir motivados a regressar, porque sabem que existe este lado e até o conhecem bem.

É nesse sentido que a proposta do Pocas é muito boa. A LEGO deve apostar em dar a conhecer e ajudar a divulgar dentro das suas caixas, catálogos, etc... o movimento AFOL, LUGs, fóruns, etc...
Para que todos os miúdos não atravessem a sua infância e
período LEGO sem tomarem contacto com esta realidade. Assim será muito mais fácil regressar mais tarde ao mais pequeno click...

Quando acabar, alguns já não serão TFOLs provávelmente.

A minha inscrição já foi a esticar... mas tive pena de ser nesta altura... estive quase 1-2 meses sem conseguir aparecer lá, e depois mudaram os links e nunca mais segui a coisa... os meus exames mesmo assim só acabam daqui a 2 dias
