em principio vou comprado (cá em Portugal) 2ª ou 3ª feira (dia 20/21) .... mas é com o software em inglês.
Quem quiser o NXT 2.0 com software em português deve de esperar lá para Janeiro 2010.

onde vai compra-lo?

Apesar de preferir o SW em inglês, vou esperar por Janeiro.

Por mim, nem sequer ainda tirei proveito do meu 1.0, quanto mais comprar o 2.0... Eu, a comprar na Arabot, será o MS1046, pois, dado que já tenho dois RCX's e dois receptores PF, deve render bastante.

SW will not be translated to Spanish - despite requests from LEGO Iberia - so I doubt it will be available in Portuguese.

Don't know where this rumor might came from. 

I think it's a bit... let's say "unwise" to avoid risking the use of harsh words, to not sell the set at all just because it's not translated to the local language!

All it would take would be a writing on the box, even if just an added-on sticker, warning that the software is in English! So, it would be the consumer who would be able to choose whether to buy something in a foreign language (not so foreign, since English is mandatory in schools for a while already), or not buy at all, instead of being forced into the second choice.

And the "dog ate my homework" excuse of having to have all software translated to the language of any country it is sold in doesn't stick either: I seriously doubt all computer and console games we see in physical store shelves are completely translated to Portuguese and they still sell, and I'm almost sure the same happens in Spain.

It's been said that the best-selling LEGO product of all time is the Mindstorms RIS (I don't know if in volume or amount, it doesn't matter here); and no wonder, because it was available in stores, even though the software was in English! How does LEGO wish to have comparable sales if they refuse to distribute it on such puny nitpickings? Not everyone one day decides to scour the Internet to see if there is any fun robotics kit around!
