SR 3D Builder 0.5.6.9 Released

Mensagem por xSergio74 »

Hi,
new version released.
available as always from http://staff.polito.it/sergio.reano/

One more note (and I'm a bit embarrassed): I really need some "money support" since the costs for maintaining my internet connection to support users is by far bigger than the offers I'm gaining.

If things won't changes a little, the application will be no longer totally free or I will stop developing it.  :-[

Sergio

Here is a list of changes:

Added
- Some very basic functionality for sliding connection management. It works now with Crane parts and with
parts wit rails. Look at the new button on toolbar for sliding animation.
- Many part patch still needed. Help is appreciated in this direction...
- Hierarchic management of hiding/showing groups
Fixed
- Big images in toolbox were not displayed
- Showing Tire Manager crash the application
- Fixing parts position after animation crash the application
- Assembly selection may occasionally miss one or more parts
- Adding new flex parts cause application crash
- After first run you need to restart the application to let the toolbox correctly show
- After working with groups hierarchy you may sometime loose some of them

???

I pay 12€ / year (including taxes)  to pay 1GB hostage, where I upload many images on TechnicBRICKs. And without any bandwith limits.
And just anot 10€ every year do keep the domain registered, which by the way I'm not using.
Thus just 22€ per year.

Is it that more expensive in Italy. ???
Tell me if you need some advice.

Hi,
the problem is not the hosting server, since I work in a University and they host my site for free (is less than 50MB) and the forum is also generously offered by a friend.

My problem is the home connection to Internet. In Italy the only affordable one is FastWeb, but it costs more than 30€/month.
Yes I use it for other purposes also, but I installed it when I saw that web LEGO fans seems liking my program... but perhaps no so much...

Well that's a difficult one!...

Despite a expensive everywhere, I understand the Broadband Access as a commodity.
I almost could say it won't be possible to live without internet these days, for everything!

If I would need it for my LEGO hobby, only... ::)
Quite dangerous starting to mix such type of different needs this way.
It is like ask for money to pay electricity, because I need it for living and thus it is also essential to sustain my LEGO hobby.

You may however consider to use some kind of adds in your application to raise funds, as likely users won't be willing to pay for it.

That's it is impossible, since it is hosted on a University site, than no AD are allowed and I cannot place any reference to paypal on the site also since it is a NON-Profit institute.
That's why the link/logo only appears inside the application.

Please note that if that request is (or maybe) offensive for the etiquette of the forum, then I recommend you to edit and remove it from the message.

No, I think your comment here, in an application you share with all us for so long, is Ok!

I also meant ads into the application. Not the website!
It is also an an idea, but since it is not allowed in the University, then you need to find an external host service i order to do that also. Maybe it pays off!?
