Re: SR 3D Builder version 0.3.3.x at work
Hi Sérgio,
I tried a few versions before and was delighted with the ability to simulate the gears working and mechanisms functioning!
Planned to make screen video capture, from one of your examples with gears running, to post at TechnicBRICKs but hadn't find the time for it yet...
Today you made my life much easier and provided me with good material to publsih.

Hope to do it much sooner now!
Thanks for your work! It is absolutely amazing!!

Hi,
thanks for your 'recension' about my progr.
It seems you really appreciate it: it's like an advertisement!
thanks for that. Hope other will appreciate too
Note that the latest news functionality like steering and quad deformation will be available in a next release only

Re: SR 3D Builder version 0.3.3.x at work
As LEGO Ambassador, I'm also trying to raise some attention to it, inside LEGO.
Very unlikely that we get some result of that, but I imagine it would be a good example for LDD evolution.

Re: SR 3D Builder version 0.3.3.x at work
Added one more video showing advance building techniques with sloped planes (a real nightmare for MLCAD ) and mirror building examples
for Conchas:
Hope LEGO will not copy too much from me
I got 100 access to my site in the last 12hours.
IT's a RECORD for me !!

Re: SR 3D Builder version 0.3.3.x at work
Ideally they should involve you, in discussions about LDD...
Yes, I was already expecting a massive visit and interest on your app website.
Over the day you may expect it to increase much more, as well as views to your YouTube videos.
Fortunately TBs has actually quite a large readership. For instance yesterday it had over 2000 pageloads (before SR 3D Builder post), but lately it has been around 1.500 daily.
BTW,
1) do you support or expect to support, Pneumatic elements and or Linear Actuator dynamics?
2) also I've a problem with your program, which has been the same even with previous versions and also a previous laptop.
- If the 'SR 3D Builder' window not running maximized, the gears animations wont work.
- Whenever you maximize/restore or change window size, all the model content disappears from view and not even the 'Reset View' button helps to fix it.
I need to reload the model with that window in its new size (quite annoying).
Did you experienced such problem, or have an workaround for it?

Re: SR 3D Builder version 0.3.3.x at work
I will do, but I need time.
Currently implementing interaction between 2 or more quads deformations.
After this I will implement slides movements and then the interaction between racks and gears
The road map will probably be the following:
- Pistons
- Trains and tracks (this is a high request)
- Finally pneumatics and actuators
- LSynth integration
- Some kind of physics interactions
- Springs and shock adsorber
- Automatic animations (you define your model is a quadruped and tell where is the head, and the program will recognize possible movements, associate them to body elements (arm, leg and what else) and let your model move according to some predefined schema (walk, run, sit, stand ...). I have some malsane (for my mind) ideas about this.
About bugs, I know I got an unmanaged device lost exception when resizing or minimize my application, but I have some more urgent items to solve before...
I will fix in some next version

... forget
I use a freeware for screen recording: CamStudio 2.0
After capturing is a good idea to compress video with some good tools .
Leaving now

Good!
Also found that one, but ended downloading and installing another: 'Freez Screen Video Capture'.
Meanwhile, you may find some reactions through comments at TBs and Forum SeTechnic: http://www.setechnic.com/Forum/topic1648.html

BTW, I think it would be worthwhile for you, also to take a look into this:
http://technicbricks.blogspot.com/2008/ ... ieval.html
Just another interesting academic exercise, or maybe more than that.
Why not for a CAD program, to offer more than one input method possibility!?

The post in TB's definetly shows the awsome functionalities of your program. Great help from Fernando.
It is just amazing, Sergio. Congratulations! I will certainly download it soon, I promise!
Keep up the good work!
